The Challenge & Our Solution

Addressing the barriers that hold MSMEs back from growth and sustainability

The Problem

MSMEs face persistent barriers that limit their growth and sustainability. These include high levels of non-compliance with regulatory, tax, and industry standards, a lack of investment and funding readiness, and limited access to sustainable markets – as reported in the Access to Finance FinFind Report 2025.

Many MSMEs are not adequately equipped to meet procurement requirements, which prevents them from participating in both public and private sector opportunities. This leads to missed growth opportunities, low competitiveness, and high business failure rates.

Our Solution: PIRP

The Procurement & Investment/Funding Readiness Programme (PIRP) addresses these challenges by providing tailored MSME development solutions that bridge the gap between informal operations and market readiness.

  • Compliance assistance to address regulatory gaps
  • Investment and funding readiness preparation
  • Market access facilitation through procurement opportunities
  • Capacity building to strengthen business management and operational readiness

We offer bespoke enterprise development interventions aligned to each MSME's needs.

Success-Story

🌟 Youth Success Story

LM – Prior to joining the NFLA Youth Accelerator Program, I was employed at Clientele Life. The program has positively impacted my life; it has allowed me to gain work experience in the sales field and the activities have taught me how to develop my skills, how to behave and how to conduct myself in the workplace. The program has taught me to be disciplined, to be patient and that I should always have a positive mindset even when things are going badly, and has improved my communication skills because I have to interact with people daily.

I am more confident, and I have gained more knowledge and work experience about the work environment. I see a successful future that will positively affect everyone around me and I will reach all the goals I have set for myself. My advice for the unemployed youth is to take the opportunity to apply for the program because it will impact their lives in a positive way and they should not give up on things getting better.

"I am excited to share the positive impact that the financial literacy training has had on my business. Before the training, compliance was a major challenge, but through the knowledge and skills I gained, I have made significant improvements."

— OooMosadi Holdings

"My journey with NFLA thus far has been life-transforming. Through their various interventions, especially mental coaching, NFLA has helped me to become resilient, disciplined and emotionally intelligent."

— ZDF Matlalala Holdings
